Tripoli, December 20, 2022, AD – The Arab Organization for Education, Culture, and Science (ALECSO) approved yesterday, Monday, in Tunis, the head of the National Observatory for Architectural and Urban Heritage, “Muhammad Ali Surmani,” as Director of the ALECSO Chair, to value joint Arab and international work. According to the organization’s work systems, the chair is considered a financially and legally independent body, and it follows the scientific network of chairs of the Arab Organization for Education, Culture, and Science. Among the tasks of the ALECSO Chair is the completion of all works in support of the joint Arab-international work and placing them within reach of decision-makers and officials to guide them in drawing and directing the policies of their countries in related areas and fields, to upgrade Arab capacities, contributing to the development of comprehensive development policies in Arab countries, and achieving Sustainable development goals, supporting the rapid transfer of knowledge and developing societies for the benefit of Arab countries, promoting knowledge exchange and cooperation between institutions and centers at the Arab, regional and international levels, and employing them for the benefit of Arab countries.
